ʿIlm al-Qurʾān

ʿIlm al-Qurʾān encompasses the sciences related to the Book of Allāh,
comprising its revelation, its recitation, its preservation, its
interpretation, and the rules governing its proper understanding. The
Qurʾān is the Speech of Allāh, uncreated, revealed to the Prophet Muḥammad
ﷺ through Jibrīl, and preserved without alteration in the hearts and the
written record of the Muslims. The articles in this section
address the sciences of the Qurʾān as established and transmitted by the
scholars of the Sunni tradition.
