ʿIlm al-Fiqh

ʿIlm al-Fiqh is the knowledge of the practical rulings of the Sharīʿah,
comprising what Allāh has obligated, prohibited, and permitted for His
slaves in their worship and their dealings. It is derived from the Qurʾān
and the Sunnah through the established methods of the scholars, and it has
been transmitted across an unbroken chain of juristic transmission within
the four madhhabs: the Ḥanafī, Mālikī, Shāfiʿī, and Ḥanbalī schools. The
articles in this section present the rulings of Islāmic law as transmitted
within these established schools.

Articles in this discipline are forthcoming. In shāʾ Allāh.
