Madīḥ & Qaṣīdah is the tradition of prophetic praise poetry within
Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jamāʿah, comprising the expressions of love for the
Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ in the form of ode and verse that the scholars and the
righteous have composed across the centuries. This tradition is among the
living devotional practices of the Sunni community, rooted in the love of
the Prophet ﷺ that Allāh has made obligatory upon every believer. The
articles and texts in this section present this tradition as it has been
carried within the mainstream of Sunni Islām.
