Recite the following dhikr 3 times in the morning and evening and nothing will harm you and no calamity will take you by surprise, in shaa’ Allaah.1
بسم الله الذي لا يضر مع إسمه شيء في الأرض ولا في السماء وهو السميع العليم
1Al-‘Adhkaar, by Imaam An-Nawawiyy, Chapter 19 on “What is Recited in the Morning and Evening”, Hadeeth number 180, he says:
We reported from the Sunan of ‘Abu Daawood, from At-Tirmidhiyy, through ^Uthmaan ibn ^Affaan, that he said (what means), “The Messenger of Allaah said, ‘Any servant who says in the morning of every day and in the evening of every night ‘In the name of Allaah, Who, when His Name is invoked, nothing on earth nor in heaven hurts’ three times, nothing will hurt him.”
At-Tirmidhiyy said, “This is a Hadeeth Hasan-SaHeeH.” These are the words reported by At-Tirmidhiyy.
In ‘Aboo Daawood’s narration, there is (what means), “No calamity will strike him by surprise.” That version is supported by An-Nasaa’iyy, who reports the same dhikr through ^Uthmaan in his book “Al-Muntaqa’ fî ^Amalil-Yawmi wal-Layl.”
